Sumba ethnic and crossing
Flores 14 days 13 nights SW.016
Bali Island –
Waikabubak/West Sumba
Day 01 : You will be met at Tambolaka airport / West Sumba and transfer to
Waikabubak. Late afternoon check in at local standard (non-star) hotel – dinner
and overnight at hotel.
West Sumba – Waingapu /East Sumba
Day 02 : After breakfast driving to Waingapu / East Sumba visiting native
villages en-route : Pasunga Village of Anakalang where huge and spectacular
carved stone tombs are situated – lunch box will be provided en-route.
Late afternoon arrived at Waingapu, dinner and overnight at hotel. (Breakfast,
Lunch, Dinner).
East Sumba – Koepang/West Timor
Day 03 : Breakfast at hotel, the time permited visiting Prailiu Village to see a
process of ikat weaving. After lunch at hotel transfer to airport for your
onward trip to West Timor / Koepang - your car and guide waiting for the
transfer to your hotel, dinner and overnight. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Kupang – Maumere/Flores
Day 04 : Breakfast at hotel and transfer to airport for the next destination :
Maumere / Flores Island – your car and guide awaiting for your trip / proceed to
slope of mount Kelimutu, named Moni Village. On the way to call at Ledalero
Museum, Nita ikat weaving village – late afternoon check in at simple / non-star
hotel – dinner and overnight at hotel. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Maumere – Kelimutu- Ende/Flores
Day 05 : Very early morning driving up to the huge three colour lake of Kelimutu
where you can watch the sun rise over the spectacular vista of the lake.
Breakfast to be provided – drive descending to Ende and photo stops en-route,
lunch will be provided.
Overnight and dinner at simple accommodation / hotel. (Breakfast, Lunch,
Dinner).
Ende – Bajawa/Flores
Day 06 : After breakfast at hotel proceed to Bajawa to continue your crossing
Flores Island, visiting the old village of Wogo, lunch and photo stop en-route.
Late afternoon check in hotel, dinner and overnight. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Bajawa – Ruteng/Flores
Day 07 : Breakfast at hotel and set up a full day tour to visit the Bena native
village, lunch will be serve en-route to Ruteng – check in at a simple hotel
(non star hotel), dinner and overnight. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Ruteng – Labuhan Bajo – Rinca Island
Day 08 : Very early morning drive to mount Ranamese and to take little bit walk
uphill watching and hearing the singing birds like a huge nature concert and
dancing in the dense cloud forest – return to the hotel for your breakfast.
After breakfast, continue drive for Labuhan Bajo, visit the unique “spider web”
rice field, lunch en-route. Arrived Labuhan Bajo, the wooden boat charter
waiting for the cruising Sape Strait for Rinca Island and we are landing at Loho
Buaya. Dinner and overnight at ranger’s house. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Rinca Island – Komodo Island
Day 09 : Early morning walking up to the hill of Golo Kode to watch the wild
horses, buffalo, deer and of course the komodo – breakfast will be serve at
ranger’s house – lunch while we are cruising at Sape Strait for the Komodo
Island. Late afternoon, landing at Loho Liang – dinner and overnight at ranger’s
house. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Komodo Island – Bima/East Sumbawa Island
Day 10 : After breakfast at ranger’s house walking to Banunggulung to watch
Komodo at its natural life – after lunch cruising to red beach and relaxing or
snorkeling then cruising the Sape Strait for Sape harbour where the car and
guide awaiting for the transfer to Bima, dinner and overnight at hotel.
(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Bima – Lombok Island
Day 11 : After breakfast time permitted riding “benhur” visiting local market
and then transfer to Salahudin airport to fly for Lombok Island. Arrived
Selaparang airport / Lombok, you’ll be met and transfer to your choice hotel and
lunch at local restaurant, overnight at hotel. (Breakfast, Lunch).
Lombok Island
Day 12 : After breakfast at hotel, set up a full day tour driving to Northern
part of Lombok and boating to Gilis of Meno and Air, relaxing sun bathing,
swimming, snorkeling the whole day. Late afternoon, return to the hotel –
overnight. (Breakfast).
Lombok Island
Day 13 : Breakfast at hotel. Full day tour to South Lombok, visiting the
blacksmith village of Getap – the Sukarara weaving ikat village – native village
of Sasak at Tangsang Angsang / Sengkol and enjoy to white sandy beach of Nyale /
Kuta Lombok.
Return to the hotel and overnight. (Breakfast).
Lombok Island – Bali Island
Day 14 : After breakfast, transfer to Selaparang airport for your return flight.
(Breakfast).
Conditions:
- Sasak Lombok not to responsible due to flight cancelled, delayed or overloaded
(Due to flight problem).
- Due to the limitation of payload of the aircraft and hotel, transport overland
specially at Flores and Sumba, maximum passengers in a group is 15 + 1
- Due to limitation and condition of the transport and hotel at Sumba Island and
Flores passenger should be more adapted to the local condition (these trip is an
adventure) and the condition of the island of Sumba and Flores, like Bali 40
years ago (for example : bath room and toilet as Indonesian style)
- Three or four star hotel available only at Lombok.
- All passengers suggested to bring a very light luggage along these trip, due
to free baggage allowance only 20 kg.
- Due to condition of hotel’s room in Flores and Sumba aren’t available for the
triple bed, reservation subject to sharing twin only.
- All transports and accommodations are non-ac except at Lombok.
- The boat for cruising at Sape Strait is wooden boat charter.
- Guide in English speaking service
- Tour package quoted with the separate / airfare excluded.
